Artificial intelligence is the next big thing! We’ve known that for some time now, but has yet to be fully able to harness its power.
Apple’s Siri has been a luxury gimmick while Google Assistant, still not good enough.
Microsoft’s Cortana is not a revelation either.
If not the Big Three, then who has the answer? It can be a once mighty technology giant, IBM?
As the older brother set out in the Declaration of Apple in 1984,
it would be IBM’s ready to take to the skies again with several billion dollars Assistant on artificial intelligence called “Watson.”
Cancer Control with Artificial Intelligence
In collaboration with Quest Diagnostics, a clinical laboratory company,
the IBM now using the versatility of artificial intelligence to provide Watson Sequencing diagnostic analysis,
as a service cloud for oncologists treat cancer patients.
Cooperation and it allowed them to also use a ton of data and expertise of the Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Institute chilled genomics.
But with Watson, IBM believes it can open up access to medicines and treatments precision designed for the millions of cancer patients.
He has been tested in a 1000 diagnosis of cancer provided by human experts recommended the same treatment oncologists in 99 percent possession of them.
In 30% of cases, also found Watson missed treatment option for human doctors.
However, Watson was able to search for relevant research, and thus provided the best recommendations.
Unlike other tech giants, IBM has focused primarily on health care.
They have also invested more than $ 4 billion in companies that get such a treasure trove of medical data such as billing records,
patient history, X-rays and M.R.I. Pictures.
Now, their investments are finally paying off for health care alone make up two-thirds of workers in Watson’s staff.
