“Laut Kar Main Na Jaunga Khaali” – Amjad Sabri through his family

Today marks five months until the tragic death of legendary Qawwali maestro, Amjad Sabri. Son of the third eldest of the iconic Ghulam Farid Sabri Sabri Brothers fame, Amjad, 46, was shot dead by two assailants in broad daylight on Wednesday, regularly appeared in June in the Liaquatabad earlier this year, when he was on his way to the month of Ramadan transmission leaving millions of his fans all over the world in a state of shock and sadness, and despair.

Acknowledged widely as a flag bearer of the legendary father, it is clear that it has successfully implemented the legacy of his father and his uncle, Ahmad Sabri acceptable and turned the art, prestige and tradition of Qawwali is unmatched. Performance on stage to the audience from the age of 12, was known to “update” the traditional form of Sufi music and played an important role in spreading the Qawwali younger audience.
