The days are gone where you could bypass or bribe traffic police officer to get out of a sticky situation.
Currently it is replaced by traffic police officers by CCTV in Lahore cameras to monitor traffic violations and generate challan automation, which will be sent to the offender and thresholds.
Lahore is one of the most densely populated cities in Pakistan, where maintaining the traffic law and order near impossible. Heavy traffic and narrow roads and traffic noise makes life difficult traffic police officer, painful, and that is why is the existence of e-ticketing system and the need of the hour.
The project has been in motion for a few months, pending approval by the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Green light has been given the official bodies in the end, we can expect to see it in action in the next few months.
Overview of the system
In the beginning it will be to install CCTV cameras at traffic intersections. And will monitor any irregular behavior in terms of wrong u turns, breaking signal or accidents – which are often due to excessive speed.
These violations will be displayed by the higher authorities, and pending approval, will create the e-ticket and sent to the offender by courier service.
And also an image of the incident and / or the image of the number plate fitted to the challan, in order to resolve any responsible person questions you may have regarding his / her involvement.

According to the latest news, it must be repaid in 15 days entitlements challan. Automated system will re-generate the challan after 15 days, and will put an extra fee for failing to pay on time. Again it will be posted and re-generated challan to the defendant’s house.
This set-up a healthy injection essentially fixed and generation of income for the Government of Punjab. Offers traffic police often settles for personal gain instead of following the law. This is not Shala’s calculation, which hurts the flow of revenue to the government.
