Pakistan district bans Valentine’s Day celebrations

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad imposed a High Court (IHC) on Monday (today) a ban on Valentine Day around the capital.

According to the order during the hearing of the petition on the grounds that the day is not part of Islamic tradition.

According to the court decision, it has been associated with ValentineDay celebrations ban in public places, as well as at the official level.

It has also been directed by means of electronic and print media for not giving cover any enhancement to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

IHC directed the Ministry of Information and the federal government, Chairman Pemra Commissioner and the Director to provide a reply within 10 days.

In the past year, Memnon President Hussein urged the nation not to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
